On the 22nd February 21 the government provided us with a hopeful road-map out of lockdown. Since then we have seen some good progress regarding the Covid-19 situation. As of today’s announcement (5th April 21), the government’s suggested plan is on track to allow weddings of 15 people or less from to commence from no earlier than the 12th April 21, providing that those weddings are held at either a place of worship or a covid-secure public building. From no earlier than the 17th May 21, couples will be able to host weddings of up to 30 people. Assuming that all things go to plan then stage 4 should allow weddings to take place with “no restrictions” after the 21st June 21.
Our policy remains as before (please see our update on the 14th September 2020 below). In addition to this statement, we would kindly ask all our couples, respective families and their chosen suppliers to take extra care and social responsibility during these times. We would advise that guests are kept to a sensible number according to the capacity of the venue and that all best efforts are made to keep hygiene, social distancing and the safety of guests and suppliers a priority during your ceremonies and events. That being said, my team and I are really excited to return to shooting weddings on a slightly larger scale than the past few months have allowed. More importantly we can’t wait to make some memories with you!
As of 15th September 2020, the UK government will permit weddings of up to 15 people to attend a wedding in England. Couples & venues must ensure government guidelines are met to ensure social-distancing and the safe accommodation of the guests and suppliers.
We are relieved that some of our couples now have the opportunity to continue with their weddings, albeit with a reduced number of guests. As your photographers, we guarantee to carefully clean all our equipment and bags before leaving our studio and our team will wear face-masks whenever possible or wherever it is deemed essential to help maintain the safety of you and your guests.
We are excited to get back to doing what we love doing and capturing wedding moments again. However, we reserve the right not to work where we believe government guidelines or restrictions are being broken and therefore we will not participate in any illegal events. This is to ensure the safety of ourselves, our families and our other clients. We request that you please work with us to ensure that your wedding is both memorable and safe, if you have any concerns or questions regarding our services and your wedding please do get in touch.
In light of the latest government restrictions on movement & gatherings/events, I’m asking you all to strongly consider postponing your wedding for at least the next couple of months. After the ban has been lifted you’ll be able to enjoy the company of all your family and friends on your special day.
Due to these unprecedented circumstances, there will be no re-booking fee that is normally required & I’m happy to reschedule your booking to another date and transfer all monies already paid to your new date. All I ask is for you to liaise with me to choose a mutually acceptable date. I look forward to working with you both in the near future & I appreciate you postponing and not cancelling. We’re all in this together, so let’s pull together to get through this difficult time.
We understand that this may be a difficult and stressful time for you with the current coronavirus situation. Let me take this opportunity to assure you that we fully intend to honour all photographic commitments that we have, which includes your wedding. I appreciate that your wedding might be affected somewhat, maybe even with reduced numbers of guests, but we can promise you that we will work our absolute hardest, to capture the very best photos for you to treasure forever. We have no intention to cancel or limit our involvement and commitments to any wedding we have booked.
Naturally, we will be taking all necessary precautions following government guidelines and from the World Health Organisation. This includes the requirement for self-isolation should my team or I develop symptoms. In the unlikely event that following these guidelines I am unable to attend your wedding, I have put certain procedures in place for example, if I were unable to attend any event, then one of my team would shoot on my behalf. This is actually not much different to what precautions I had in place prior to Covid-19, but as a group we are more motivated than ever to support each other & the wedding couples involved.
We are looking forward to all the weddings that we are due to photograph this year & I am praying that the situation doesn’t cause too much interference. We shall be monitoring the situation closely & will update you with any further developments on our end. If you feel as though I haven’t addressed your specific concerns then please do not hesitate to give me a call 07854752895 & I will try my best at this point to help answer any questions.
