Destination engagement shoot in Paris, France

I owe everything to Paris, because it is the city where my wonderful wife was born & raised. It is a beautiful city that I look forward to visiting regularly; primarily to catch up with my in-laws but also because it is a world of its own waiting to be explored.

Back during Easter of 2016, whist I was already over in Paris, Sonika & Mark decided to jump on a morning Eurostar to Paris for a spontaneous pre-wedding engagement shoot. I shot their photoshoot using my personal “travel” camera, a dinky FujiFilm X-T1. As that was all the gear that I had with me at the time, I welcomed the challange. I did however manage to get hold of a compatible off camera flash & trigger, which allowed me the opportunity to create some awesome night-time portraits – it would have been a crime to not shoot in front of the iconic Eiffel Tower lit-up at night. Considering that the Fuji camera isn’t my typical choice of camera for a professional shoot, I’m really chuffed that I had it with me at the very least – it actually turned out to be a lot of fun to use!

A big thank you to my wife for guiding us through the city & for pointing the flash for me during the end of the photoshoot – you absolutely rock!
