Lockdown Wedding – Komal & Jas’s Sikh Ceremony
Lockdown Wedding – Komal & Jas’s Sikh Ceremony
Beautiful Sikh wedding photography in Birmingham.
Komal & Jas booked me almost two years ago and were due to get married earlier this year in May. Little did we all know that our world would be turned upside down by Covid-19. I was gutted when many of my couples started to call in to postponed their weddings, but what could we do? We just had to ride the tide and make the best out of a bad situation.
I look forward to every wedding that I agree to photograph, so I’m so grateful that Komal & Jas, like most of my other couples whose wedding has been effected by Covid-19, decided to rebooked with me rather than cancel. Komal and Jas’s Sikh wedding was the first wedding I have shoot since lockdown eased and I’m looking forward to a few more “lockdown” weddings in the coming weeks and months.
I have to admit that I was both excited and nervous at the same time. Nervous, because I wasn’t sure what photo opportunities a downsized Indian wedding with only 30 guests, all socially distancing, would present. However, looking back through Komal and Jas’s wedding gallery, I’ve come to realise that sometimes the smaller a wedding, the more intimate, emotional and meaningful the moments seem to be.
