Hey lovely people, my name’s Mickey! I’m the lead photographer, editor and director at Soulphotography Studios.
This is me with my beautiful wife, in 2015, on the day that we got engaged in Belgium. She is the person who inspires me to do what I love doing. It is my love for her that inspires me to capture the love of others.
Family means the world to me and that makes the best thing about being a wedding photographer capturing moments that document the loving dynamics of my couples’ families & friends.
Rarely seen without my camera (even when I’m off duty), I first found a love for photography in 2002, when, due to over-usage, I destroyed my father’s film camera, whilst on a Kenyan Safari. But not before I first managed to rescue a couple of film rolls of images, which helped me ace my Art GCSE. I’m passionate about wildlife photography; and self-funding many adventures to India & Kenya. My photography inspirations include Steve McCurry & Nick Brandt.
When I’m not discussing or planning my next wedding shoot, you will find me heading down to the Emirates to watch the mighty Arsenal or casually re-watching movies from the ’90s and early 2000s. Although I have been a full-time wedding & portrait photographer since 2009, I also wear a second hat, teaching Indian philosophy & Hinduism, part-time, at a local secondary school.
